Why a blog?

Why a blog?  Excellent question!  Perhaps it is only because I feel a need to embarrass my boys upon the unlikely event that they or someone they know stumbles onto my blog.  I actually have nothing to blog about but if I do, I'll know where to post.  Actually, it feels rather egomaniacal to presume that someone (anyone) might be interested in knowing what I have to say about something (anything).  On the other hand, maybe it's like keeping a small notebook in your pocket so that, for instance, if you're a comedian and you think of a good joke, you can immediately write it down.  Or if you're a scientist and you think of some creative experiment to do, you can write it down and, in a way, test your idea on others who care to listen.  Truth is though, right now, I can't think of anyone who might care to listen.  Oh well, let's see how this thing plays out.  Meanwhile, I'm hungry and I think I'll have some lunch.
